Condo Insurance
Condos are a great alternative to renting an apartment or owning a single-family home and they have their own unique insurance needs. The policy typically covers the inside structure of your unit such as walls and fixtures, your personal property, any personal liability clams you may encounter, the cost of lodging/transport if the unit becomes uninhabitable and your portion of a loss assessment declared by the association.
Condo insurance is very similar to homeowners insurance in that it provides protection against losses and repair costs for the unit. The major difference is that condo insurance covers only the interior of the dwelling. If an instance occurs such as theft, vandalism, fire damage, or water damage within your unit, your condo insurance policy will cover your losses.
